My BMW had a turbocharger fault and a DPF warning. Other garages suggested removing the DPF or told me they could repair the turbo actuator, but after spending money, the problem was never actually fixed.

The team took a completely different approach. They started with the simplest and least expensive diagnostic checks instead of immediately recommending costly repairs. First, they found that the DPF pressure sensor had failed. After replacing it, the DPF warning disappeared completely, proving that the filter itself was perfectly fine and did not need to be removed.

The remaining issue was correctly diagnosed as a failed turbocharger. I had a reconditioned turbo fitted, and the car has been running perfectly since. It was the right diagnosis and the right repair.

Everyone was professional, honest, and very friendly throughout the whole process. I also really appreciated that they kindly arranged and took my car for its MOT while I was busy, which made everything much easier for me.

It’s not easy to find a garage you can genuinely trust, but this is definitely one of them. I highly recommend Rockingham Auto Engineering to anyone looking for honest diagnostics, quality workmanship, and excellent customer service.
